Nine-day Novena with St. Anthony of the Desert Day Seven

“then you will understand the fear of the Lord

    and find the knowledge of God.

 For the Lord gives wisdom;

    from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;

    he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

 guarding the paths of justice

    and preserving the way of his saints.”

Proverbs 2:5-8

“Jesus saw Nathan′a-el coming to him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!”  Nathan′a-el said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”  Nathan′a-el answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”  Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You shall see greater things than these.”

John 1:47-50

Today’s Meditation

Nathan’a-el didn’t think anything good comes from Nazareth, but Jesus revealed to him that he seen him under the tree. We can’t rely on our own insight because we are of a fallen nature. Jesus wants to give you his perfect peace. We must trust in his Holy Word. Follow him, even if the road is hard, follow Jesus. Ask the Blessed Mother to guild you in your life. Our goal is heaven, let us work to get there.

(Pray for your Personal Intention Here)

Say One Our Father, Three Hail Mary and One Glory Be, to Honor the Most Holy Trinity and asking God to delivery you of whatever is preventing you from living a higher level of Holiness.

Prayer

St. Anthony, Jesus lead you into the desert and by his Mercy, you received the strength to overcome the temptations and attacks of the devil. We ask that you pray for us to hold on to God and never let go. Pray for us!
