India-The loving pearl in the Hand of God

God’s love for the people of India Aaron Joseph Paul Hackett (O.P) |Good News| 11/14/2020

My brothers and sisters of the great country of India. The Lord your God, creator of Heaven and earth, send his eternal love to you all! All the 1.353 Billion of you![i] The One, True God has blessed the people of India and you are all special to him. You may ask me, what make him different that all the other gods, that we worship? Brethren, there is no other thing being in the Universe can compare to the Eternal God. The same God that writes the natural law in each human being,[ii] you the people of India, share in the dignity of God, for you are formed in his image. The world may write off India, as a poor, over-rated country. God’s grace is big enough to be shared to every being in the cosmos, and he has special graces, that are for the children in India!

            From the teaching of Jesus Christ from the evangelist Luke[iii], “After this he went out, and saw a tax collector, named Levi, sitting at the tax office; and he said to him, “Follow me.”  And he left everything, and rose and followed him. And Levi made him a great feast in his house; and there was a large company of tax collectors and others sitting at table with them.  And the Pharisees and their scribes murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Mercy is not just for the Jewish people, but also for the people of India. God does not just love the educated or the wealthy, he loves the poor, the hungry the sick and the dying. Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and the Shudras, all of these are welcome in the table of Almighty God. We are all sick. Not just the physical sickness, but more spiritual! The devil, the enemy of the entire human race, wants every soul to suffer!  He prizes the country of India, more. Why? Because he is a fallen seraphim angel, he sees the precious of the souls of the men and women of India. You are the “pearl that shines the brightest” in the hands of the Most Holy Trinity. God’s mercy was sent down from heaven, that he gave this command to the Disciple of his Son, Jesus Christ. “Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.  And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”[iv]

            CCC-1987 (Catechism of the Catholic Church) “The grace of the Holy Spirit has the power to justify us, that is, to cleanse us from our sins and to communicate to us “the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ” and through Baptism” God loved the people of India so much, that he sent his Jesus, to die on the Cross and to wash away the Sins of the whole human race. One may Ask, why would a God, who is All-Powerful, come in a form of a man, and die for humanity? Die for a people who knows nothing of him? “But if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. For we know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. The death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves as dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus” Love is the greatest gift that Creator has given to his creature, so he wishes for us to be in union with him. Saint Thomas Aquinas answers this deep question from his writings, The Summa Theologica Frist part, Question 20 Article 1 “I answer that, We must needs assert that in God there is love: because love is the first movement of the will and of every appetitive faculty. For since the acts of the will and of every appetitive faculty tend towards good and evil, as to their proper objects: and since good is essentially and especially the object of the will and the appetite, whereas evil is only the object secondarily and indirectly, as opposed to good; it follows that the acts of the will and appetite that regard good must naturally be prior to those that regard evil; thus, for instance, joy is prior to sorrow, love to hate: because what exists of itself is always prior to that which exists through another.”

            God’s very nature is to show desire to have all his children in the world to be in union with him in the Beatific Vision. The Spirit of Truth, wishes to wash away your sins, children of India, for a father will do anything to protect, care and nurture his children, so your heavenly Father in heaven is ready to embrace all of you! For the children of India is worth the life of two sparrows. God the Holy Spirit is the love that is generated between the Father and the Son. The same Spirit that moved over the waters of creation[v], is the same Spirit that gave all of you the breath of life. It didn’t matter wither you were born in Goa or are a taxi driver from Punjab, everyone was brought into this world, for the greater good of God.  “Because we are dead or at least wounded through sin, the first effect of the gift of love is the forgiveness of our sins. The communion of the Holy Spirit in the Church restores to the baptized the divine likeness lost through sin.”[vi]

            The water of the Ganges is considered sacred to all Indians, but the water that I speak of, is the life-saving water that Christ bestowed upon all of you. When the Master dips his hands in the water and pours it over you head, He repeats his sacred words “I Baptist you, In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”[vii]you, the Children of the Most-High God, are now welcome into his wedding feast. The Master wishes to share his Body and Blood with you. To have eternal life and to see the endless glory of God. In Luke Chapter 10: Verse 33-37 Jesus Christ share his message of mercy to a scholar of the law, “But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion, and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii[a] and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’ Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed mercy on him.” And Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” God has blessed the people of India with the knowledge to bring hope to other parts of the world. With your advances in medical technologies and the high demand of Doctors, Nurse, you leave your family behinds, your old way of life behind. Not just for a simple “paycheck” but because you want to bring love to the needy, caring for the sick and comfort for the lonely. As Jesus said himself “for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.’[viii]

            Brethren, I humble invite you to the feast of the master’s table. Allow me to wash your feet from the dusty road, take the clock from your shoulders and offer you a bowl of hot water to wash your hands and face as well. Allow me, his slave to sit you on his table and bring the finest fruits and breads to eats. You are all invited to his banquet. The one thing that God truly desires, is to give your heart Fully to him. Allow one of his shepherd’s, to Baptist you, then anointed you with holy oil. Repent of your sins and be in Full Communion with his One, Holy and Apostolic Church. For only in Christ Jesus, the name above all names, is the one that can save us from the peril of the devil and bring is to everlasting life. Let us Pray,

            Eternal and Ever-living God, you created this vast universe and places your children accordingly on the earth. You have blessed the people of India with great knowledge of love, philosophy, and sciences. You have chosen them to be the “backbone of the world” to labor for love and care for humanity. Each one of your children in this country, has a special role to play in your creation. Guild them with your light of Truth and relive the Truth of your love, in the heart of every man, woman and children in India. Deliver them from the evils that are seen and unseen and bring them into full communion and love of you, through you holy Church. For this we pray, Through the Intercession of Mary, Mother of the Most-High God and St. Joseph, The terror of demons her spouse. In this we pray Lord God. Amen.
