Meditation 03/03/2019

Allow us brethren to Look at Luke 6:39-45 from the Evangelist Luke. Jesus always uses parables because, he wants you to enter that mind-set of deep prayer and meditation. When Jesus says, “Can a blind person guide a blind person?” He is not talking about physical blindness, he is talking about spiritual blindness. This is more in reference to those the religious clergy. If you are a Spiritual director, Pastor, deacon, minister, rabbi etc. and are not following the law of God, then you’re failing in your personal vocation. How can you lead people to God, if your life is not a reflection of God’s Holy Words? People follow you as the example. They rely on you because of your education, your training and the job that you have been given. “Do as I say and not as I do” is a terrible way to be a leader for God. Either you are committed to the Word of God or you’re not. “No disciple is superior to the teacher” says the Lord, but when you feed your flock well, then your flock will have the tools and nourishment it needs to stand against the world, the flesh and the devil. Learning Holy Scripture is extremely important. They are not “empty words” that are babbled aloud, but they provide the necessary nourishment for the Eternal Soul. Jesus warns not to be a hypocrite. You can’t say to your brother and sister that they are away from God, if you yourself are the furthest away. How can you, correct someone of their sins, when you choose to take a blind eye to your own offenses. Pay Attention! Do you think that God is a blind bat that can’t see your sins? He who is Mighty can see everything before it happens. He is outside of time and not restricted to the norms of what we know in our universe. The God who created you and me, knows our hearts better than we know ourselves. “Right is right, even if no one is doing it, wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it.” St. Augustine of Hippo says. This life is a warfare. From the time of your conception to the time that God will decide when your life ends, is a battleground for your immortal souls. Jesus never promised that life will be easy, but he did promise that those who did the will of God like Paul the Apostle “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 that paradise of promise to those who earn it. A person who faithfully follows the Will of God and keep his commandments, much good will be produced. Even if that person faces trials and tribulation, God will anoint his/her hand and many blessings will come about. But a person who does wickedness, commits great offenses and lead people astray, will drink the cup of poison that they have brought upon themselves. The Kingdom of God will be closed to them and they will suffer in the fire that never dies out and the worm that is always gnawing. Almighty God reads the hearts, he knows what is brewing within you. Matthew 15:19 “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander.” So, Pastors, deacons, elders, leaders, be good disciples to the Lord Most High and lead your flock well. For on the Day of Judgement, everything will be considered, everything.
May the Blessing of Almighty God come upon you this day, Amen
