Meditation 11/18/2018

Let us meditate on the words of Jesus Christ from Mark, the Evangelist! (Mark 13:24-32)

Jesus is giving a lesson to his disciples about the end of the world. Right before Jesus comes down from this Throne, it will be after the great tribulation. This will be when the anti-christ has ruled the world. When certain people have accepted him and have received the mark of the beast. This is when so many people who have died for the Word of God are about to be raised from the dead into the final judgement. This is when the survivor of the great persecution will emerge from hiding.  The Sun will no longer show light and the sky will be dark. Then, Christ the Messiah will come down from Heaven and He will send His angels to gather all men before Him. They will be separated from each other. The Sheep on one side, the goats on the other, ready to give an account for all their deeds and actions. The righteous will enjoy being in the New Heaven and the New Earth, while the ones who chose to reject God will be bound forever into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.  Jesus also states that “No one knows the day or hour, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mark 13:32)

Death, my brothers and sisters are a part of life. Everything that has a beginning, has an end. We can’t choose when we are going to die, but we have the choice to choose how we shall pass. If we do our very best in life to stay away from evil. Keeping the sacraments and be forgiving and loving to everyone. Then by the Mercy of God, we shall see Him and be with Him in paradise. Or if we ignore His mercy and continue to live our life how we want to live it, God will not interfere in our free choice. We decide how we shall end up. Now is the time to act right and carry ourselves as true disciples of Christ. He knows we are going to sin. He knows we will fall down many times. But, it’s up to us to get up, dust ourselves off and keep trying to live a holy life. Because He died on the cross for us, we can get back on track or not! We really do live, and die based on our choices. We may not die a physical death from our decisions, but we can have a spiritual and moral decay in our lives. We must always try to build each other up. Jesus who is Love, taught us how to love. So, we must love our neighbors as ourselves and forgive our neighbors as we wished to be forgiven.  So, if you knew in advance that you were going to die in 14 days, how would you spend those 14 days? You can answer this question in many ways. I hope that you chose to ask the Holy Spirit on what sins you haven’t confessed yet. To reveal to you those sins and make a great confession before you pass. To ask for forgiveness to those whom you offended and to be in a state of prayer.

Our journey in life is but a short ride. We think it’s a long time. But now is the time to prepare. Our goal is to be with Jesus. The devil doesn’t want you with Jesus. He will do everything he can to prevent that from happening. It’s greatly important to offer masses for yourself and have people pray for you. Especially at the final hour of your death. We need Mother Mary and our Angels and saints to be with us. God is merciful. We must ask for his mercy now, while we are alive. Once we die, he then becomes the Judge and you will have to face him all alone.

Father in Heaven, we ask you to forgive all our transgressions. We ask you to forgive us when we had opportunities to be helpful and kind. May we forgive those who have wounded, hurt and rejected us. We ask the Blessed Mother Mary to be with us at the final hour of our death. Keep the devils at bay and may I hope to enter heaven with you. For this we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Be Blessed Always,

Aaron JP
