The Devil, great manipulator of mankind
Let’s face it. When it comes to our own personal egos, we hate to be the loser. We don’t like to admit we are wrong. We really don’t like to admit we make mistakes. Pride is the number one favorite tool of the devil. Why is pride so dangerous? Because when we have pride, we allow Satan to put a wool over our eyes. We surrender our free will to him. We give him a “blank check” to do whatever he wants. 1 Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
When you do your research on the bible, you come to realize that God created everything. He created his Angels before he created the world. The devil was created as the most beautiful out of all the angels. Because God created a hierarchy, he was the closet to the throne of Almighty God. When he found out that Man was going to be created in the image of his Creator and that all the Angels that God created would be lower to them and serve them, made him very angry. The angel of Light wasn’t going to bow down to no weak human being, he was willing to convince 1/3rd of all the angels to rebel against God until he was cast out of Heaven by St. Michael the Archangel and the one who chosed to stay loyal and obedient to God. Think about it, God created Angels with such knowledge and gifts that one-third decide to do their own thing. We can’t even have imagined nor understand the vast number of these beings. The devils first action was to make man fall, which is why he took on a form of a snake to convinced Eve to take that apple and eat it. Genesis 3:1-5 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
1 Peter 5:8-9 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
His mission is to bring the entire human race into Hell. He wants everyone to suffer like he is. Right now, he has full rein of the earth. When the 2nd coming of Jesus comes, that is when he will finally be defeated and Chained forever in the Lake of fire prepared for him, his demons and all of the human being that died in a state of sin, will be reunited with their bodies and then thrown into the lake of fire
Revelation 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
I will do a 4-part blog about evil, the devil and his torments. Please Pray Ephesians 6:11-16 twice a day Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Beware, he is hungry and looking to feed on souls!
